Mobilink and Ufone!

I had some free time before my first OOP examination so I thought I'd take another crack at both Mobilink and Ufone. I was able to work out the SMS gateway for both this time! The application does not require upgrade. SMS to both Mobilink and Ufone can be sent directly through the mobile phone at the GPRS cost. Please read my earlier post on this blog to see how it works. Your phone needs to have Java support and GPRS if you wish to use this facility. Mobilink is offering GPRS on Indigo subscription so people with Indigo can avail this nifty facility.

Orkut!

I've been a member of Orkut.com for quite a while now. Its a really cool place, but sometimes I feel its just a waste of time like MSN. I made a lot of new buddies... people who think just like me! I found my old school buddies too! This is so radical! One thing I've thinking is that... this might be Google's entry to the instant messaging arena. Like, its really hard to come up with a product that will compete with MSN and Yahoo! Messengers but once Orkut is stable enough, all they'd need to do is write a client software for Orkut and voila... all the features of Orkut together with instant messaging right on your desktop! Do it Google!

I have my first final exam in 10 hrs. Need to get some sleep here. Will write again after the paper.

Google Toolbar, Picasa, BlogSpot and now Hello.com (integrates with picasa and blogspot) are really awesome! I recommend hello.com to all blogspot posters.

On ISDN!

Finally... after weeks of waiting I got my NT device. Its a SANTIS (Siemens subdivision, I believe) NT box which connects to my PC through USB. My internet is zooming at 64kbps right now. Satnet's ISDN is working pretty smoothly! I'm soon going to try a 128kbps package.
